effa film awards 2016
EFFA film awards are presented to filmmakers who are judged by our expert and industry panels, and by the Festival audience, to be the cream of the crop. In-competition films across three jury decided awards are judged for their quality, storytelling and plot execution, impact and imagination.
People's Choice Award - "Best of the Fest"
This is an audience voted award, given to the film which is responded to most positively by EFFA audiences. The vote will take place during the Melbourne leg of the festival, and will be compiled by asking audience members to rank each film out of ten.
Best Australian Film
All Australian, films made after January 2014, screened as part of EFFA 2016 are in competition for this prize, including short and feature films. The jury for this prize are:
