REEL IMPACT INDUSTRY DAY: SESSION 5

These days nearly every significant production starts with a crowdfunding campaign. So what makes a successful campaign and what does a comprehensive fundraising plan for an environmental documentary look like?

Full day pass $65 + booking fee. Individual sessions $18 + booking fee.

Sarah Beard - Northern Pictures Sarah has over 20 years, experience delivering content to commercial clients, broadcasters and for feature release. As a passionate ocean conservation advocate, marine themed stories have always been Sarah's passion. In addition to her film work Sarah has been working as an outreach producer for Take 3, a grassroots organization focused on reducing marine plastic pollution. Working on BLUE has been the ultimate project for Sarah, combining her extensive marine based film work and her not-for-profit ocean advocacy work.

Elliot Chapple - Pozible Elliot has run a number of business initiatives gravitating around new media and film including the launch of Australia's biggest action sports film festival Yew.tv.  In early 2015 Elliot joined the Pozible team as their dedicated project advisor, offering advice and support to creators at all stages of their campaigns. During his time as project advisor, Pozible saw it’s highest ever monthly success rate at 64%.  Since then Elliot has been promoted to General Manager at Pozible where he manages a small but dedicated team who are passionate about making ideas happen.

The Reel Impact: Environmental Film Industry Development Day is aimed at connecting environmental film practitioners, communicators, educators, eNGO workers and other interested folk to share information, exchange battle stories, build skills and catalyse the production of more high quality environmental video content.

The event panelists are industry leaders in the film and environmental sectors who will draw upon their extensive knowledge of innovative techniques and industry trends. The day will consist of a series of themed panel discussions, and conclude with a networking event for all ticket holders.
