This year, EFFA is more focused on impact than ever before. Through a partnership with Digital Storytellers, and with support from Bank Australia, we offered a select group of eight environmental organisations the opportunity to attend a free 2-day workshop on how to make their own digital content with an iPhone. We have been so proud to be able to play these eight short films on the big screen at ACMI before our feature films - and now publish them on our website.
The Fair Food Challenge is empowering university communities to build fair, healthy and accessible food systems. We are working with institutions to develop and implement comprehensive fair food plans to transform campus food environments. At Fair Food Challenge we believe that campuses should provide fair, healthy and sustainable food environments with access to good food and the skills and opportunities to grow, buy, cook, eat and share it. In 2017 they launched the Fair Food UniCycle, a portable bike kitchen a reusable serving ware service aiming to make events at the University of Melbourne more sustainable and to teach the community about the importance of fair, and sustainable food.
