REEL IMPACT: ENVIRONMENTAL FILM INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT FORUM

DATE: Wednesday, October 19th, 2016
TIME: 2pm - 5pm
LOCATION: Chauvel Cinema
ADDRESS: 249 Oxford St, Paddington NSW 2021

The Documentary Australia Foundation and EFFA have joined together to host this forum on how we can get more environmental themed documentaries made in Australia.

Australia has the capacity to be a leader in creating equitable and sustainable environmental outcomes and we are in a prime position to use video to make this happen. There are a multitude of environmental concerns facing the world today and each of these has a story.

Environmental documentaries have a history of generating important discussions and exposing injustice and it is becoming clear that storytelling is the most powerful tool to educate and inspire.

This forum will be an opportunity for representatives from industry bodies, environmental groups, philanthropists and filmmakers to develop a better understanding of how they can work together to create meaningful content.
